well, i pulled off the turbo->IC hardpipe. looks like castrol had a party in there. i can't believe how much oil is in there. time for a new turbo!

ibdavid, you have a PM. i need a k26/6, used is ok. anyone?

Might want to do a leakdown test or at a minimum a compression check, worn rings can cause excessive blow-by pressurizing the crank, blowing oil thru the oil/air separator into the intake.

Depending on your milage it could be a combination of both rings and turbo.

But a quick leakdown will tell you.

Have you ever poured a quart of oil from the intercooler and a pool of oil in the compressor housing?? I have, and the turbo was in perfect shape.

So check that intercooler for a mess.

Could be several things, many turbos blow some oil and it's not a big deal.

Do some more diagnostic procedures, such as a plug chop at full boost.

yeah, they blow some oil is the key. i always used to have a little bit of oil in my hardpipes. but now its literally pooling in there.
