Default While I'm replacing engine....what else?

Having engine rebuilt and trying to get everything needed for install before taking to a shop.

So what are the "while engine is out/ while your in there" things to be replaced? What is good to replace before dropping in rebuilt engine?

Best (only) time to refresh all the AC tube and hose assemblies and the brake booster.
Obviously clutch, engine mounts, heater hoses and valve, speed and reference sensors.

clean everything...

also if you've taken the crossmember off and will need re-alignment: control arm pillowblocks/bushings/etc

Steering rack maintenance: reseal, clean, tie rods, check/repair lines...

Alternator: Rebuild? Nissan Quest? New starter/alt harness.

I have seen mention of the Nissan alternator a few times over the years. What exactly is involved with that particular swap?

You’re getting a few more amps, replacing older hardware, lighter and getting more space for a MAF.
