There is another white turbo for sale in NY on FB....1986 and looks pearl to me? I think they're asking $15K.

For my black turbo car, my plan is to tint the clear lenses to have them blend in with the fender more. For my red S2 car I will keep the stock corners and blinkers (I think).
Theres a pearl white car in Vermont for sale asking $23k with 140k miles. Has sport seats and fikse wheels. The white one you mentioned is not a pearl white car.

Default Pearl white interior color(s)

I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen a pearl white car that did not have a maroon interior. Did any of them ever come with a different color interior?

The story is that there were a total of 40 Pearl white L09A paint code 1986 944 turbos as a promotional cars commissioned by Porsche due to their joint use / collaboration of the same manufacturing plant with Audi. The Porsche 944 was manufactured at Audi's Neckarsulm plant. All were Pearl white with Burgundy interior. I'm waiting on more information from the Porsche museum. The only difference in the option code between cars I've seen is the side moulding. Otherwise all pearl white cars have the same options.

new teaser pic with 17 in Fuchs. I got the updated caster mounts (968 part) that Porsche specifies for 17 in wheels on the 944.

Looking good! Also loving the Turbo decal on the fender. Been thinking about adding that to mine.

Yes, I added silver decal and an original silver turbo emblem, Decided for it to look more subtle over the pearl white. Im hoping for the car to be done in a matter of days now. The interior also was refreshed.

Newbe alert: very nice restoration. Great to see your car is getting some TLC.
What is the “updated caster mounts”? Where do you get them and what do they do?

thanks.

Porsche had a bulletin for those who wanted to upgrade to 17 in wheels on the 944 that specified adding new caster mounts from the 968. Generally its a good upgrade even for the stock 16 in wheels. Bellow is a thread on the bulleting and the part number is on the bulletin. They hold the wheel straighter with less flex than the original ones which is better with larger wheels. The caster mounts are cheap about $50 each on ebay.

thread on the caster bulletin here: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/pors...unt-bolts.html

which of the parts is the actual caster mount? No 1 or no 2 on the bulletin drawing?

Nice find on that euro rear bumper. I've never seen that specific bumper mount before, it looks a little different than the Porsche part but I'm sure it functions perfectly the same. Did it come with the bumper as a kit?

Thinking of going with these lights for the car. What do you guys think? Classic look with modern lighting technology.
