I found an ad for a 1986 951 with a fully-restored body and interion, but with a "blown" engine. Engine bay looks good, and the car only has 76K miles. Lots of new stuff.
Question is: what is this car worth? What would it cost to rebuild the engine (he says broken balance belt)? It seems if that was done, it would be a great car.
Is it worth it? Or, should I keep looking?

Is it worth what?
Sure he didn't say broken timing belt? A broken balance belt isn't a problem unless it took out the timing belt after, and who'd be able to tell what happened first?

It could be a killer deal depending on how much work you can do yourself.
Where in NC is it located? If it just broke the timing belt then 2 k for a head job should do it.
