No... that's what I was eating when he showed up. This was just one package with everything in it. Still waiting for a few more parts for my oil cooler upgrade.

Is that just snake skin on the outside of the wiring harness? Snake skin doesn't have any thermal insulation properties.

Brian, it is the best stuff in the world! It is flame and heat protected you can take some of the joins off and slide in new wires in, it is very flexible And uses weatherall connectors!

Red, if you are going to run low impedence injectors and need resistors, the join for the wires in the harness is best taken near the first junction, you can actually feel where the wires reduce. I can show you a pic if you like...

Yea, if you could post a pic or even email it to me that would be great. I already have the resisters. My email is Redeye@iqmail.net

jyoon, It's a Link Plus (Link 2) stand alone engine management system with a new engine wiring harness made by Performance Developments. Check out http://www.link-electro.co.nz/ for more info on the Link plus.
Performance Developments is where you can get the wiring harness and Link or Link Plus. They are VERY helpful/knowledgeable.

Yup... we use snake skin all the time at work. It is wonderful stuff and by design it opens up to except a larger diameter cable. But, this also allows the heat of the engine to penetrate to the soft vinyl of the wires within. This is the point I was trying to make,I think the cable looks first class outside of this issue.

My statement is that I would place a solid heat shield on the harness were it contacted the engine like the OEM did.

I have had the harness open when the resistors went in, there was no sign of any damage to the wires within at all. Would the damage be visible if there was any?

What good would a heat resistant cover be when the harness is exposed to high heat for extended periods of time? The heat will permeate eventually, right?

The base Link2 uses the stock coil and dist. cap. It does have the ability to run coil packs though in wasted spark setup or sequential with a cam sensor.

I decided to go with the stock ignition setup for now because of cost. I can always add it latter.
Now if my figgin laptop would just get here I could start putting this thing in.

By the way, does anyone need a DME/KLR/stock wiring harness/MAP kit(minus the intake and 3bar FPR)/55# injectors?
