Sufnituning,
Just cleaned it, Man I only had 2 messages in there and it was full?? WOW!

Anyways I just got back in from trying to prime this thing for a full hour. Every hole in the oil filter housing is full of oil and will not take any more. I have turned the motor over by hand every which way and it just will not take anymore oil. I also put oil down the cylinder and let the car run for a good 30-45 seconds and still no oil pressure.

Dan..did you clean out your sent messages? Use the drop down menu to open all of your sent pm's, select "from the beginning" then delete those. Should clear up some more space.

for the love of god STOP running the motor. Take the plugs out and if you can't get pressure by turning the engine over with the starter you've got a problem with the pump (probably the pulley bolt) Running (even for a short period of time) with no oil pressure will destroy you nice new motor.

Al completely aware that no oil pressure is bad, I think 30 seconds will not do harm even after pouring some oil down the cylinders and cam housing before each run. Anyways I give up until the tool come here to check the crank bolt.

It's not so much the cylinders or cam followers that are the issue but rather the lower end bearings. The main and rod bearings are not supposed to actually touch the crank they ride on a thin layer oil and the only way the oil gets in there is under pressure. If you gaul (scratch/score) the bearings and/or the crank you will have effectively and drasticaly shortend the life of that motor. Hate to see someone go through all that trouble and then have a problem.

Mmmmm. Scored dry bearings. Brings back a very bad memory. My first street rod was a 78 Trans Am. Spent my entire summer building that bastard. At the end of my accumulated high school savings and summer, we primed the oil pump BACKWARDS since the Pontiac gears pump in reverse of a Chevy. Spun #1 and #2 and cracked the crank in 3 hours of running.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! The PAIN!!!!!

Ditto. If it was mine I'd want to have another look at the big end bearings now

I am eating as I read this - I can't friggin believe it. 30-45 seconds????????????? Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. Who told you you could do that? Just turning it over on the starter with DME relay pulled makes me cringe trying to build pressure. You are idling the engine??
No ****ing way, man. Please stop.

Used Davids tool today and to my surprise the bolt is already torqued to 150ft pounds. Any other ideas?

Just out of curiosity, why didn't you just call up John first thing? His motors aren't cheap and with them I assume good customer support is included.

I really hope you didn't damage any bearings...it sounds like you purchased a great engine.

That stinks, but glad you found the problem

Those are not cheap $200-300, plus lets hope there is no other damage.
