Getting itchy feet. I really like the old school 911's and am thinking of buying one, keep original. Or a cheap 944 Turbo LHD has come up and I could race it in the Porsche series here... opinions? Either way I need another Porsche soon.

There are many 2.4E models around at the moment. So whatever is the best early model around at the time I will look at. Its not going to be a speed beast, I want it for style reasons.

2 hours later, I've decided. the 911. the 951 race car would be much funer, and more fullfilling, however, the price that comes with it is not too practical. 911 E = 12,000 (at least here) 944 turbo race car = upwards of 20,000 to 40,000 dollars.

Andrew as an ex 911 guy I would love to say a 911 if we are talking cheap..your 951 is allready fast..how much for the 911e(what year..I am guessing 73 1/2 and down ) and how much for the 951?
what awesome is that you can take a 911 2:4 or 2:7engine( remove the aka"heat furnace from it)go to full carburation or uh oh..butterfly injection..ETC man so many things to do on those things but then it will turn into a money pit..ideally a 73 911 S would be killer but those are soooooo expensive!! so go with an 911S 74 1/2 and up and you can really make that sucker fast..just get rid of the CIS injection!!!.....anyway either one will eat your money...Go for the 911..but am not sure about the E
