Glen, I for one, actually think Sean STOLE this car given it's history. Even in it's unrestored, tired shape, it's probably worth a LOT more than what he's got in it.

But yeah, I agree with you. Dump parts, absorb losses, $1000-1500 you're into it will look like peanuts once it's running and loved on. Story/car of a lifetime; at least for working stiffs like us...

Thanks for the support Taylor sea4 and Glen2002.

Maybe my almost empty wallet was making me lightheaded
and delusional. I'll try to snap out of it and hang on to the car
unless it comes down to the house or food.

Glen your right, Thats what I'd be crying in my beer about
at cocktail parties the rest of my life, telling the story of
Al Holbert's factory race car I found in a back yard... and had to sell.

I'd rather tell the story then take them and show them the
restored car in my garage....A better ending to the story for sure!
