Default Oil Light

I have had my engine oil light come on for no reason. Oil is at the full mark and oil pressure is fine. But light still comes on. Any Idea's?

Any idea where it would be located?

It comes from the oil level sensor (side of the oil pan, by the drain plug), and goes into the factory harness to eventually end up @ your gauge cluster. I would guess that it's grounding out somewhere between the sensor and the poin at which it goes into the harness. It may have come undone at the sensor, or otherwise grounding out to the engine because of worn insulation.

Under the car, I do have a set of car ramps but not any good because of the front spoiler. Is ther another set of ramps some one can suggest to buy that would work for the 951? I really would rather use ramps to change the oil rather then having to jack it up.

i have a set that also dont work but im dropped a few inches too. i can get my hydraulic jack under and then i just throw some jack stands under. takes probably 5 minutes and its several inches higher.

Yea, I do that now. Would be a little easier to just have a set of ramps that worked.

I thought I read of a set of low profile ramps in Griot's garage. Reno

i've driven onto some boards before so the car is lifted up about 2" before it hits the ramps. might help you clear it, but you have to do the same to get it off.

I had to do a similar thing before I got a lower profile jack because the car was too low to get under it at all.
