Blow Off Valves
My blow off valve is bad. Tested it and it holds no sucking pressure at all. Need a new one, i saw upgrades (lindsey, SFR, Billet) but i want a LOUD one one that goes PISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST when you shift or hit the gas, but price should be REASONABLE as well...........anyone here got an upgraded one and has comments?

I have one that I tried just for the fun of it. I got tired of it after a week. I guess I'm just getting too old for that stuff.
Its a small adjustable billet unit along with a plug I made for the other connection on the 'J' boot.
It worked fine, idled fine and I noticed no richness between shifts.

Your DV is bad and you want to replace it with a BOV. Hell, maybe I am getting too old too but they sound obnoxious as can be.

Not bashing - if you want to hear the "PSSSShhhtttt" sound, more power (actually LESS power) to ya!

But girls throw their panties at your car when they hear it!
I have a BOV that vents to atmosphere in my TII, 30 minute install, I can adjust it between soft-hard, but I haven't had any complaints. People usually like the sound.

Does anyone know if its possible to recirculate the charge air from a Turbonetics Godzilla? To the original poster - if you want loud, get one of these. You'll need custom intercooler pipes for most any aftermarket BOV also.
Is there a noticeable difference in power between venting and recirculating?
If I understand it correctly, the BOV will only vent between shifts, causing a momentarily rich scenario when there wouldn't be power going to the ground anyway. Does the BOV's pressurized air help to keep the compressor wheel spinning?
If so, is the lost performance mostly realized through a bit more turbo lag after shifting? If not, then can you explain how it hurts power output? Ive read up on BOV's and I'm still not finding the information I'm looking for.
And please if someone knows if you can recircualte from a Godzilla and knows how, please let me know.

If so, it is in your head...
If you have a stock intake, it is possible that it would help a tiny bit...
If you have a MAF or MAP it will not help at all. If you have the throttle shut, the excess air is not going to go into the intake, it will be pushed out the air filter (assuming a MAF or MAP).
If you like it, go for it. I have the stock DV valve going to the ATM. It sounds nice! I also have a HKS SSQV but haven't played with it much.

BOVs will save your turbo...
On my quest before the BOV it would make the "turkey gobble" (thats the compressor stalling) and slow you down between shifts, as it would have to boost up again. When the BOV is on, the compressor WONT stall and you will run rich for a second but its all during the shift..
