@Tom Pultz Like I said previously there is a lot of confusion regarding the M030 option and what it contains, basically because Porsche included different things for different markets and years. I also wouldn’t rely on PET as a reference. I know for a fact that there are Australian 951’s with the bigger brakes but no M030 option code or suspension parts, also confirmed by Ausie lister hermpie on his 1990 951 (see below).

...And others, including Tomas (see below), confirms my findings.

So the “original” 1988 Silver Rose Turbo S cars didn’t have option code M030 on the decal yet they had M030 suspension and the bigger S4 brakes. They did however have option code M758 which led me to the conclusion that the upgraded suspension and brakes on that car was a package offered under M758. If you got another color Turbo S in 1988 (or 1989 in the US) you didn’t get the M758 option code but got M030 instead. Which leads me to believe that the brakes were carried over from M758, not assigned an option code and simply made a standard for the rest of the 88 cars and all years afterwards. And that’s why everyone commonly calls them M030 brakes, but they technically aren’t.

...however 30+ years later it’s really all semantics
