Default 951 Piston Relief

For those using stock cam and unshaved head only.

Not quite sure how to reply to this one. My 87 turbo had pistons that had a dish cut into them. One large dish area cut into it, but no individual valve cuts.

Yup, all stock pistons are that way.

I am not talking about the bathtub on the pistons, but the valve-relief cuts on them.

Got them on both intake and exhaust. Mine is a '86 951. Haven't heard of any other stock 951s with valve reliefs. I'm somewhat puzzled.

I wish I had a photo... starting to think I may not have a stock cam.

Great pic, Dano! Did you have your "maching tool" set to 7000 RPM for those?
