Default K26 vs K27 photo comparo

Took a bunch of pics of my old K26/6 and K27/11 7200. Measurements with some cheap calipers taken too.

They both go tomorrow to Turbochargers.com for rebuild to a K27/6 hybrid. I have decided to keep the oil+water cooler center from the K26/6

Interesting stuff. What kind of car is the #11 off of? 930? It doesn't look much bigger than a #8 hotside, just with a very different inlet.

I have a 27/6 7200 on my car... looking forward to see how it performs. Are you going to be getting 55# injectors?

The K27 7200 is from a 93 964. I picked up some 52# Lucas injectors and a Guru custom chip to match.

x-rated,
very cool, you should come hang out and talk porsche sometime. I live on tech campus, your welcome to come and have a beer with me and my buddies. We go out every weekend.

eclou,
How much is the rebuild running you since you are providing everything that is needed aka turbine and compressor? I ask because the k27-6 will prob be my next turbo.

thanks,
John

Will you be dynoing it soon? I am also interested in seeing real world numbers.

$275 was what I was quoted if all the parts are good. I think that includes new seals, bearings, studs. I will by default have to dyno it as soon as I get it running for A/F tuning.

I think Dan Pastorini drive the "Got Boost?" car.
