I don't think they make those in SS for the 2.5". If they do I haven't seen them yet.

Would there be any reason not to go with a 3" testpipe? I thought the 3" flowed better than 2.5" under all conditions?

Theres a group buy going on right now for the testpipe from SFR. Just do a search and you should find it.

If you have a turbo car, you want the 3".....turbos don't need the backpressure like the NA's do, you want fast flowing exhaust to get the turbo spooling quick.

If you have an NA, the 2.5" is what Tim at SFR recommends.

Thanks for the post on the group by Tb311. Right now you can get either test pipe from Tim with free shipping for right at $450. That's about $100 off regular price with shipping, etc.

One more question. Does a 3" testpipe fit in a stock exhaust system?

i've been told that 3" is only usefull if your car is in the 400RWHP mark. If your below 400 rwhp 3" is not worth it.

Sorry....was off line for a while last night or I would have answered earlier....didn't see it when I got back on....of course I then fell asleep at my computer.....I was "exhausted"

There are at least a couple of people on the group buy in Canada, I haven't asked him specifically about the shipping there, but he said shipping was free, so unless it would be like triple or something, I'd say that yes it is. The last group buy I'm sure had people in Canada on it and I don't remember anyone saying that they paid for shipping into Canada. If you want to order and that is your only big question is whether to make your order for the 2.5 or 3" and shipping, I'd just give him a call and he can answer your questions right over the phone and take your order if you're happy.

The Fabspeed one that is also part of our group buy for $449 with shipping is 2.5" to 3" so that it will attach to your stock downpipe. You may need a 3" catback though....I don't know that it would fit back to the stock size...but it might. Would be a good restriction right there though as there would be no way to smooth the transition from the larger to smaller pipe. The only problem I would think would be present would be having to have the wastegate pipe attached to the 2.5" as the NA cars don't have one.

As for dyno differences, I don't know how much more it would add for the 3", but with turbos less restriction is better, especially as you do more to the car. But I don't think anyone has made a 2.5" specifically for the turbo since Bursch and Fabspeed did some time ago. Fabspeed stopped making the 2.5" as they felt there wasn't enough need to have 2 sizes for the turbo cars.

I'm not headed as far north as 400RWHP though....I'll be happy with around 325-350. Get this car done the way I want and it will be time to add another Porsche to the stable There are several guys on here with a full 3" and I only read good things about what they have done for them.
