There was a 944 turbo from the West TN area wrecked I think at Road America a few weeks ago, like I said I think. Anyway, the guy I'm buying the wheels from has a parts list of stuff to sell off of that car. It is all serious race stuff, as the car is being parted. There is a 2.5 Milledge engine, a custom tranny by Powerhaus II, Kelly Moss rear suspension, Halon fire system, 4 sets of BBS wheels - buy three & 4th free, Brand new Hoosiers, JRZ shock setup, billet control arms with caster adjusters, 89 turbo hubs and spindles, Big Reds with master cylinder for system. None of this is cheap but it is cheaper than full retail.

blpski@yahoo.com and I'll forward your request or inquiry. The car may be brought here to be dismantled out at one of the local hangers at the airport. For those of you that PCA club race, one of the fastest RS Americas in the country resides here. Opened the hanger the other day to take pics of the wheels and here is what I saw: the RS America on the lift - white/black, 1986 black/black 911 turbo(MINT 61k) actually custom built in Stuttgart when he was stationed in Germany, IIRC a 1997 Carrera 4S also black/black, 2003 Audi A6 RSR V8 BITURBO black/black, and a 2003 Suburu WRX black/black. Wife drives a 2003 S55 AMG black/tan,,,nice rides. Guess what color Suburban pulls the race car trailor? You guys are good...

Great guy BTW, so anyway, if your into SERIOUS club racing, the list is pretty much 1/2 to 5/8 $$ of purchasing new or having custom built.

Well here's the latest interior shot(s). Car interior metal will be white, some thin sheet metal aluminum over the doors with a pull handle. Sparco Pro 2000 for the driver and Sparco Evo2 for the passenger. Roll bar will be in this week, coil overs at True Choice and new Steering wheel purchased yesterday at TWS.

Hmmm...I think the suspension will be set in stone this week. The seats are three weeks out along with the s.s. exhaust system from the afore mentioned 944 turbo, wheels are in hand, fiberglass header and splitter will be ordered this week; engine mods/refresh should start in May or June, so I would GUESS at the TWS in September. It might debut at Hallet who knows. I'm headed down there next month for a few days then a week in May to do clutch, rod bearings, head, water pump/belts, etc. My spare head (again) is going to Memphis Motorwerks when I get home next week for a refresh and O-Ring'd and then I'll take the one off this car as my spare.

We have a few more parts to sell: bat wing, Jet Hot coated cross over pipe, 7 and 8 x 16 phone dials from Jims 86, K26, headlight and sunroof motors, window regulator assy, blower assy, evaporator core, cruise control, etc, you know to keep the budget on track.

Ski,
I would advice against using a race seat from a wrecked car. These seats are designed to flex in crash I am not certain how much load they took. If it was a passenger's set with nobody in it then you are fine.

Just like a harness that streches or helmets I would not reuse a racing seat from wrecked car. Minor fender ding is one thing, but anything more and I would not trust the seat in another impact.

BTW... I have heard of seats cracking in certain impacts.

This will show some of the progress with my shell--
Started in Nov 2001 with the bare car, slowly progressing toward the powder coater now.
It takes time, but the result will, I think, be worth it.

M758, I appreciate the safety check. The seats just came back from an inspection and being recovered. I did ask about this though and I do appreciate it.

The car was hit in the rear, went into the gravel pit, rolled over twice and rested upright. He was going to try to salvage it but decided to part it out instead.

Who's quick release is that for the steering wheel? Any slop at all in it, and does it have positive location (can only go on one way?)

Thanks
Sam
