Does anyone have details on a huntley stage 2 Garret turbo? Namely, hot/cold side numbers, af, etc. I'm looking at buying one from a friend but he doesn't know anymore then it's a huntley stage 2. Huntley is dead so can't ask them.
Thanks

Ok but that wasn't what I'm asking. I just want to know the specs on it. No opinions please, just the specs. It may suck but I bet a Huntley Garret Stage 2 Hybrid produces more power then my broken K26/6. The turbo is brand new and I can get it cheap but I need to know the specs. Mostly the hot/cold side numbers.
Thanks

alright NZ951 and eclou, maybe you can tell me what sucks about it? As far as I know they were built by Majestic then Huntley just sold them. Does Majestic make bad turbos or is the Stage 2 hybrid just a bad combination for a fairly stock 951?

This should not be an early mod... if its fairly stock, what about your fuel delivery? How will you get the right a/f's? You need to be able to control that at the same time. Otherwise you will turn your car into a popcorn sound making device for hollywood.

I realize that however my stock turbo died and I want to put a new turbo on that will be good for future upgrades. What I have now is a 3bar FPR, Racegate, Apex AVC-R & Widefire headgasket. Depending on the turbo numbers I will just run it at low boost until I can upgrade the rest of the fuel system to match(i.e. injectors).
My searches tell me that "Huntley used 4 completely different turbos and called them all "Stage-2"."
The one my friend has was purchased 6 months ago if that helps.

The liklihood is people on here stopped daling with Huntley 6 months ago. Given the variety of stage 2 turbo's out there. Maybe a stop to a turbo shop to identify the markings would help? Also, If you can find any of them, you could assume there would not be a wild difference between stage 2 turbos by the same manufacturer.

Good thing I backed up the Huntley site before it went down. No specs were ever mentioned (obviously), but thought this might be helpful.
HR Stage II - This turbo was supposed to be our 'Quick spool' which it did out of the box. It has a very strong bottom end, but we were feeling that out 300 HP top end goal might have been a little conservative in testing. Once the 'on road' break in was done and we took it to the dyno, we had to blush a little. We went a little past our HP goal of 300 HP. We hit 335 HP at the wheels (402 HP Flywheel) without much effort! Oops! So anyway that is the tale of how Stage I became Stage II and we went back to the drawing board for an even smaller turbo with even more bottom end! This turbo, run at lower boost levels (less than 16 PSI) to keep it under 330 HP can be run with mild upgrades such as a Stage III MAF and an adjustable fuel regulator. If run higher than 16 PSI you will need a Stage IV MAF kit, HR big injectors, adjustable FPR, upgraded ignition etc. How much can this turbo make? This turbo has made as much as 396 HP at the wheels at higher boost levels on a HR built 2.5ltr 944 turbo.
PRICE: Ball Bearing $1600
PRICE: 360deg Bearing $1300

I have something HR sold as a Stage 2 turbo. Sorry I cannot offer any specs, as Huntley never disclosed any. It is a very strong performer. It produces boost early and holds it to redline with a wide flat torque curve.
You'll need bigger injectors and a big MAF to get the most out of it.
