Exclamation 86 951 on Ebay!

I like to look at crap on ebay expeciallly 951 stuff. I came across a nice looking 86 Porsche 944 Turbo and it has a alot of up close photos which is nice cause you can actually see what kind of condition it is in. The person rating is 100% of 56 feedback and the auction seems to be lagit (cant spell) but when i looked at the VIN # it looked wrong, it didint look like any VIN # of any 951's i seen so i went to CarFax to see what data it will pull up well i laughed when it pulled up this:

VIN: JM2UF3140N0297518
Year/Make/Model: 1992 MAZDA B2600 CAB PLUS
Body Style: Club Cab Pickup
Engine Type: 2.6L L4 MFI SOHC
Manufactured In: JAPAN
Search Results: 16 records found in our database

hmm, either this guy sells alot of cars on ebay and got the VIN mixed up or he is really trying to scam som stupid people. If it isnt a scam watch for a Mazda truck on ebay with a Porsche VIN.

for reference the ebay auction url is:

A few things seem a little off on that car, forexample the missing rear wiper, the wrong offset suspension (suggesting it may not be an 86, or had extensive suspension damage at some point, swapped for later parts, upgraded?), but the 160mph speedo indicates if it is an 87, it's a very early 87 (but then what's up w/the vin)??? Also, the seats don't look like they belong in that car, considering the shape of the interior otherwise.

I see some issues with that car. The interior is less than pristine with the driver's door panel looking like it has seen lots of use. The seats appear to have been recovered with what looks like vinyl. If the door panels have Porsche script I think the seats should have too. Would seats wear out in 102K?...maybe...

Also looks like it might have sustained some rear end damage as there is a sizeable chunk of paint missing on the lower left of this photo. Rust beginning to show.

It will be interesting to see what it goes for.

it appears to be more like a piece of the foam backing of the rear carpet that has come undone and is protruding when folded back as in the picture...and the "rust" i believe is just dirt?

exterior looks nice...but the interior is def not so hot

The VIN starts with a J, right off the bat, that means it's wrong (Japanese car VIN). All Porsche's start with WP.
