Where to Find Bilstein Coilovers
I know that Lindsey sells the Escort Bilstein setup but I am looking fort something different. Forgive my ignorance here. I have seen some 944 Turbo guys use bilstein coilovers that are green in color. Are these easy to obtain and from where? If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

The green Bilstein are the Turbo Cup coilovers.
I know they're available at a dealer here in Sweden but I don't know if they're still green though.

Duke: The color doesn't matter to me. I just was curious as to what setup this was. Do you happen to know of any vendors in the US? I think I saw that the Racers Group had them but I just wanted to compare their prices with other vendors. Thanks.

I believe Larry Parker on the forum can get you them, and I think Lindsey can get them if you call and ask, just doesn't stock them normally.

The rears are very cool, with the helper spring and adjustable perches.
I am running the yellow Bilsteins on my 951. On my old 951, I put on front strut housings from an early model 944 and just rewelded a few mounting brackets, and they worked great. I am doing the same thing on my new (to me, anyway) 951. If you want adjustable perches, Jason at Paragon can set you up. Its very cost effective and works well for a Street/DE car. The Turbo Cup set up is way more than I could tolerate on a street car.

I can get you the front Bilstein coilovers with threaded bodies (#AK1110-A/AK1111-A) for about $690/pr. These have good heavy-duty valving for high-performance street-driving with springs in the 350-500 lb/in range.
The stiffer Sport-valving can be had with the AK-1120/1121 struts for an extra $100/ea. These are for kidney-bruising 450-800 lb/in springs.

Danno,
A couple of quick questions...
Does this price (~$690) include the upper and lower spring seats?
Do you need to use camber plates? (Do the struts have the OEM
style camber adjustment?)
Is it a 2.5" or a 2.2.5" spring?
Thanks!

eshocks.com has both the "Firehawk" and "Cup" struts/shocks. The softer "Firehawks" are the ones Danno refers to. Front & rear with springs & perches come to @ $1140.
