We might have a little difficulty fitting it into the engine bay.

Too much money in their pockets by the look of things! I think we could shave some weight off that crank. Like maybe a few ton.

It would sink it... I doubt the US government would let pics out of a military engine lol.

Dude, China is not a sleepy giant. They are well awake and are the home of thousands of American compaines cashing in on cheap labour. Most every international manufacturing company in the world has outsourced or moved operations to China.

They are building them in place in ships. Pretty hard to move a 2,000 ton engine out of the plant! At least that is what I read at the site. Japan not China.

Little more info on Wärtsilä Corporation, they are headquarted in Finland.
http://www.wartsila.com/marine/english/index.jsp

"The Sulzer RT-flex engines have been, or are currently being
manufactured in the works of five licensees in Japan, Korea and
China, as well as in Wärtsilä’s own factory in Trieste, Italy. In
China, RT-flex engines are being built by both Dalian Marine Diesel
Works and Yichang Marine Diesel Engine Plant."
