Default Intake and Exhaust block off plates

I finally had these made at my friends machine shop. The intake and exhaust are different. If one removes the intake and exhaust off of the engine these will seal the head on each end an you can wash down your engine and avoid getting contamination down the ports into the engine. Keeps foreign objects out and far better than using masking tape.

And in case it's not obvious the idea was for an engine with the head still attached to the block. The photos are just to show how they look. Of course they can still be used in the manor shown in my photos.

They work and use a standard 226 O-ring.

If anyone is interested and there is enough interest I could make them available to RL.

.

Nice! If you make one with an air fitting, then you can use them for pressure testing the headers for leaks (although the one for the collector has to be a different shape).

Very nice. I 3D printed something similar for the intakes, but mostly just to keep debris out when I pull the intake. Yours would be great for longer-term projects and/or when you want to spray ABS-melting cleaners on the engine. If you made a run of them at a reasonable price, I'd be in.

Ditto - If you made a run of them at a reasonable price, I'd be in.

Also looking for a plate to cover an open block, i.e. a block without a head on it...

Those are thick-- great to use for custom manifold flanges too.

I'm stopping by the shop today.

Might try have an variation of an exhaust flange made out of Inconel? Looking in to that today as well as starting on the bellmouths.

I'd be in for both intake and exhaust. Perfect for my spare motor on a stand. 🤙🏽
