The 270-hp was with a stock exhaust system.
I think the HP gains seem so low is cause there only running 13psi. most chips alone run 15psi for a stock engine. I think its a waste to just run 13psi on a good turbo, i mean they could have used the stock turbo to make that and saved them some cash. I would think they would run 17 or 18psi on the Kolken Turbo. The TQ figures seem really low.

Why is the exhaust stock? They have installed a kokeln stage 5, and a Link ECU, and they left on the stock exhaust? Seriously, WTF.

It depends what they are looking for from the car. I am not concerned about peak HP in my car... I run Tons of DE events so I am more concerned with longevity and drivability then peak HP. As you go over 300hp you start tearing other components up on the track if you are running long hard sessions.

Just my 2 cents

Exhaust and downpipe will probably be their next installment.

A free flowing exhaust is not going to damage anything. And if they are worried about not exceeding a total power level, then they could have achieved a safe, reliable power level without mods like Standalone E-manage and a Kokeln Stage 5 turbo.

I agree about the exhaust... my point is more to their HP goals. It seems that far to often we get hung up on huge peak numbers in here...

Maybe we should collectively write them a letter, telling them what thier best options are for the car. (Since they are clearly clueless as to how to mod the car to it's full potential!!)

heck, I will be happy if they just finish the updates. Years ago when I still subcribed, they quit updating a Mercedes 450SL "project" and a 911 slant project. Just poof--nothing, never saw mention of either one again.

I got it from here that they had a Link ECU.

As of february issue the car has bigger turbo stage 5 bigger injectors, dual port wg link engine management system.

I can confirm he (it is only one guy doing this project, his name is Pablo) is running an AFM link box masaging an MAF hotwire signal - all put in by Vision in Laguna. I saw it in under the dash when it was in at Precision Motion in Riverside (nice shop BTW).

It seems this car is currently in a frame straitening shop in Riverside after he crashed it recently. I wonder if he will mention that in the article
Pablo also did the turbocharged 3.2L M3 project for European Car.

You mean the 3.2 liter M3 turbo conversion that he very quickly blew up and also went through a bunch of heads. I just hope he doesn't pay for all this out of his pocket. What a nice job to have.

If this guys known to crash project cars and blow up engines and ruin parts why they keep going to him. I do have a feeling theres gonn abe some Porsche politics in this project and its gonna cause them to either downplay the cars performance or just not go for the potential performance to make the 911 readers happy.
