For you guys that have autothority chips: Do you know if bootleg chips are common? I always wondered since mine have some cheap looking sticker on them.
Thanks

I don't know if they are common to have bootlegs or not. I do know that my friend with the Autothority MAF and K27 chips has some fairly cheap looking stickers on his chips and they are straight from Autothority.

I have a cheesy looking bootleg sticker on my old Autothority chips also. Kind of a dot matrix type.. Mine have dates from 1988 on them.
I think that the bootleg stuff is more common than most people think. Many guys just dont know they have the bootleg stuff. Hey,,... if they work just as well as the true Autothority's so what! They actually ran pretty well compared to my Guru chips.
Only problem is the part throttle hesitation under boost with the Guru stuff. I only noticed it when I put the Guru stuff in, but am not convinced the chips are the problem. I think the chips may exaserbate another existing problem with the car. Does fry the hides in 2nd pretty good from about 3200 up on a cold day
Found a local dyno guy with 248 Dynojet... 60 bucks for three pulls and wide band to get a baseline AF ratio. Now, just need a new wastegate so I can hold 15 psi.

I got 270 rwhp and 280 ft-lb with Guru MAP Stage 1 on a bone stock '89 Turbo. That's with 16 psi peak at 4000 rpm, dropping to 13 psi at redline. I'm upgrading my injectors and WG this winter and hope to pull a few more hp with these mods.

Get a GURU wastegate. $190 and holds all the boost you want to redline and the stiffer spring set up doesn't open till about 10-12 psi, so boost comes on hard and fast. Stock is about 4 psi.

If so what power and torque figures did you get. What boost.
State if its a 220bhp or 250bhp standard model.
Thanks.
Oh and plots would be nice...
