This year has been hectic with no free time, unfortunately the 951 is up on blocks and superficial tear down started and the turbo, high flow heads and a world of performance stuff is on the bench waiting to be installed. My goal is this fall within a month or so to try and finish it up, but unfortunately the build is on hold due to work and family obligations. I can say that Charlie is awesome to work with and I would recommend him in a heart beat.

Cheers!

I run the original K26 turbo updated/rebuilt by Charlie/Evergreen and am impressed with the results. One caveat though, I did increase the boost and put on a 3" exhaust at the same time so hard to tell what added what HP, but the components seem to act well together. Really tears the tires up which it never did before. Full boost comes on right around 3,000 RPMs.

Never enough hours in the day, days in the week.... I have my engine down to the head and just haven't been able to carve out enough time to jump on it to get down to the turbo yet, let alone put it all back together. This is the first time I have taken apart the Porsche engine, so I am taking my time as I don't want to do this again! LOL Anyway, I am not able to respond to the actual performance, wish I could.

Charlie made some similar mods to a K27 - 7200 for my 911 turbo hotrod 2 years ago. The results were outstanding. His modded turbo is way better value than a new stock K27. Charlie will be doing all my future turbo work.

I believe he calls this setup the Raptor. That's what build I did with my original modded K27/8 a couple months ago. I have not installed the engine yet so I can't provide feedback, but working with him was great and the projected boost curve should be great fun in comparison to the old laggy fan I had.

Anyone have their cars back together to give feedback on the Evergreen KKK turbos?

I have run mine a couple thousand miles since my engine rebuild and it's performing very well. Spools up quicker and produces excellent boost. Charlie was great to work with. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience with Charlie. My stock K26 is performing way better now, faster spool-up and much more power, as advertised.

I've had mine installed for a couple of years now too. Works great. I also upgraded to a dual port wastegate w/MBC and 3" downtube at the same time. Holds 18psi boost all the way to redline.

One issue I've been meaning to ask Charlie about is the dimensions? I didn't make any detailed before/after measurements but when it came time to re-install the exhaust crossover pipe I found that it ended up a lot closer to the oil pan than it was before. I mean it's almost touching. It's like the hot side of the turbocharger sits up just a little bit higher than the stock k26/6? It was more difficult to line up with the exhaust header as well. I only drive my car on the street now but it would bother me if I were to take it back to the track like that. Anyone else run into something like this?

I have had mine on the road now for about 2-3 weeks and it's impressive. I have the 27/8 stage 2 Raptor upgrade and I have seen it spool in the 2k's RPM on a regular basis. I also hear it whistle all of the time, which is a new thing that I definitely like! I wholeheartedly recommend Charlie, he is great to work with and responds quickly and honestly to every question that I have ever asked him; this is my 2nd time getting my turbo upgraded from him. I have no experience with any other turbo rebulider, but he and his products have been great so far.
