Default Fuel Line Kits for 951

For an '87 951, I need to replace the fuel lines - they are the original ones as far as I know. I have read the threads on replacing them. I am ready to purchase replacement lines. However, the sets that I see generally only have 2 lines: the supply and the return lines. But, there is a 3rd line that needs to be replaced as well, the rail to damper line, correct? Can anyone point me to a kit that has all 3, or do I need to purchase that rail to damper line separately? Thanks in advance!

When I did mine I completely eliminated the third “jumper” line by simply fitting the pressure line directly into the fuel rail. Others have done the same that’s how I heard about it and there are no adverse effects, plus it’s one less fuel line to go wrong.

The Larts kit on ebay was the one I wanted to buy, but they only have the 2 piece kit. It sounds like MAGK944's bypass of the fuel damper is why the kits are only 2 pieces, though. Thanks to all 3 of you guys for the info!

Paragon sells the jumper line and Rennbay kit, Lindsey Racing also has some options.

A kit just means the lines came in the same box. The jumper is $75 from Porsche.

Thanks fellas. I am going to order Lart's 2 piece fuel line kit, then make a decision on whether to bypass the damper or go ahead and purchase the jumper separately. I very much appreciate all of the advice and info!

Here is a picture of mine.....looks like two fuel lines plus a third small one that is not braided. I didn't upgrade them, it came this way.

Along with repalacing the fuel lines I highly recommend replacing the fuel rail with an aftermarket unit. I have had two stock fuel rails leak at the seams where the mounting tabs are welded to the fuel rail. Both were leaking at different locations. It's worth not loosing your car to a fire.

+1 they definitely are brittle. I found a dent in mine after I removed the old lines (could have been me holding it in place with a wrench to loosen the nuts). I've stuck with an original replacement since then, but I keep a spare one on hand too just in case.

Also, you might consider the other fuel lines in the rear, at least the pump to filter and filter to hard line hoses.
