Default References for Michael Wachholz?

I am thinking about buying some parts from Michael Wachholz (cash payment in advance). I do not know him, and would like to know if anyone else on the board has done business with him and/or can otherwise vouch for him. I'm sure he is an upright kind of guy, but I have been burned before so thought I'd check... anyone?

Private messages or e-mail to tomatlarge@yahoo.com are welcome. Thanks.

I don't know Michael, but I do not like CASH in advance for most orders.

Why not do COD both sides are protected.

Is this the ProSpeed Motorsports guy? He is a straight shooter. He developed a BBK for the E36M3 at my suggestion. Very knowledgeable guy.

I believe I did a deal with him before. He is in FL, right? It was an ebay transaction and eventhough he delivered the product, it was not the smoothest of all deals. I would rather do paypal and pay the 3 % if I would be you, make sure that you'll get everything within 30 days.

Forget it.

The guy is a deadbeat loser. I sold him some calipers 3 years ago. He bounced a couple checks and now gives no response to my emails.

Just another satisfied customer,

Slow and forgetful is how I would describe my dealings with him, int the end he didn't come through with all that he promised and it took well over a month for the items to get to me.

Well... I just ordered $1100 worth of parts from him off a 968 he's parting out- so I sure hope he is a stand up guy! I'll let you know when the parts arrive. So far I havent had any problems keeping in touch with him, he responds rather quickly to emails, and is easy to reach over the phone, which makes me feel better at least... yes, he is from prospeed

No Michael lives in the Minneapolis area. I did a deal with him back when i still lived out there and everything was on the up and up. However, I lived 10 minutes away from him and could easily stop by, so perhaps it's a different story when shipping items across the country?

I sold him a set of wheels a few years back. No problems and I sent the wheels first check later.

I bought some Big Red brake-adaptor hats from him that he was closing out. Ended up with the wrong drilling for the studs, but he ended up shipping me a customized set fairly quickly, so no complaints here.
