Default Wastegate

Is it possible to buy a Tial 35mm Wastegate off of ebay and just buy the adaptor kit if needed. The wastegates are going for around $120. Also i think i need a new wastegate becasue my boost starts to bleed off around 3500rpms. Also is it possible to rebuild the wastegate if you have the springs

Yes, it is possible but it is not economical (the adapters are high). Dont know about rebuilding the factory one (it can be done or no one would want the cores). Once you have screwed with removing it (top 5 biggest PITAs for me) you will want the best you can get.

Hey, by the time you add the cost for the adaptors
you're better off buying the 38mm wastegate from
Myswiss which comes complete with adaptors

What do the adaptors consist of? Seems like they would not be too hard to fab yourself...

Hi Cpt,
It consist of 2 steel plates about 1cm in thickness.
If you have excess to a milling machine & lathe
it's o.k. If not don't bother. It's gonna be a real
pain to diy the plates. If you get a machine shop
to do it for you, I don't think you're gonna save
much cause you're making only a set.

GURU rebuilt stock wastegates, $190.00 14 psi in 1st, 15+ in all other gears to redline.

Gate does not start to open until 10-12 psi, for quick build up. Stock is 3-4 psi
