I stand corrected, they do have 6 holes, I just had not removed them before.

Tim - what is the orientation of this, as we are on the subject? Which side goes where? Do I need a "gasket" to go in the recess?

Everytime we get on the subject of tial WG's, we get five pages of who stole this from me idea. Look Tim was selling them for $165 us for a long time made good money selling them! It took somebody else to get the price down on these plates.

MySwiss: the price is attractive but can you post pictures of your product?

Redshift. I have posted a picture of our adapter plates and a Tial 35mm on this thread (page 4 I beleive). As for the 38mm Tial, you can see it on the www.tialsport.com web site.

MySwiss: thanks, just saw it. Flew past the "link" earlier. Mouse was on caffeine.

Is the red standard or does one have a choice? And how well do your plates hold up to rust?

Redshift. The wastegate you see in the picture, is the old version 35mm with anodized top. The 38mm that we sell now, comes exactly like the picture on the Tialsport web site. It's polished silver color.

The plates hold up pretty well to rust. I have about 5000 miles on mine, and there still very little rust. The only spot of orange I see,is from the last water droplets.

What material are you machining those plates from?

To all of those that are showing interest on these plates and wastegates......SFR will be dropping the combo price for the 38mm Tial wastegate and adaptors with hardware to $299 + shipping, indefinitely(for Rennlist members only). On top of that, SFR originally designed and developed these plates. SFR is an American based company who had their design knocked off by a Canadian, Myswiss. Why would anyone want to support and help a person like Myswiss prosper? So if you are an American or even a Canadian who thinks what Myswiss did was wrong, then you know where to buy your stuff from. This will be my last post on the subject.Merry Christmas!

Maybe this is a completely off the wall idea, but isn't this kind of like two car dealers selling the same product? I mean, I know that there is question about whether or not the product was copied, but aside from that, if two (let's say ford) dealerships have the same products avaibible. Isn't it a question of price and service that makes or breaks the sale for one or the other? I personally know that I would rather pay more for good service and the same product. Clearly this isn't an issue here because people are satisfied with the service they've gotten from both TurboTim and MySwiss, but isn't this exactly how competition is supposed to work in a free market economy?

disclaimer: these are not retorical questions, I'm really asking what people think, I know very little about this type of thing.

Tim, Myswiss did nothing wrong. He made a simple product slightly better and is selling it cheaper. If you want to get rid of him as a competitor, lower your price to the point where he can no longer compete. Make yours from better materials (for some reason no one here is discussing that important detail). Add *something* innovative. Maybe try casting your flanges and then adding simple secondary ops. I could make those plates dirt cheap (ask if you are interested) with a small investment in tooling. Belittling a Canadian Rennlister is no going to get you any friends or new customers.
