Autosource Auction
Has anybdy ever bought/ dealt with these people? I see on yahoo auctions that they are always adv. Porsches that are flood insurance vehicles and I would guess they go for fairly cheap (relatively speaking).
They have a beautiful red 911 on there right now.
Thanks,

Never heard of them personally, but they do have a website Autosource Link Water damage to an engine can be a very bad thing. Might also have to replace the transmission, brakes, etc... depending on how bad it really was. That turbo is a Tip! That's just sad... Buying anything from these guys I would assume going into it that you will likely need to rebuild the engine and transmission. and probably replace the electronics as well.

I have bought three vehicles using the Autosource list of salvage yards selling rebuildables. I bought a 99' f-250 diesel 2wd, a 00' f-250 diesel 4wd and my 86' 951. The 99' was a wreck, the 00' was a theft recovery and the 951 a flood car. The porsche had already been cleaned, needed a DME/KLR, alarm control, radio, seat, headlight, windshield washer and heater control motors. It had just over 100K and had been well maintained, I gave $3200 for it. I am a happy Autosource customer but I have only used their lists and delt directly with the yards. Bill

Do you have the subscription or whatever for the lists? Do they have any locations in Texas? If so, where are they - the website doesn't list any locations (at least not in the free look section).

Well, I got intrigued and curious (and bored) so I paid the $10 for the subscription to see what they provide. Essentially, all you get is the following link: List of websites (and a few more useless information). Very disappointing. There's more going on at their Yahoo auction: Yahoo auction, but I'm not sure what that's all about.
