Mine's more than a little "ruff around the edges," I've been trying to sell it to someone who'll have time to work on it, but no luck. So, it's becoming more and more a junk car. Be perfect to stuff a Megasquirt into - that engine's (original 8v 1.6L) near impossible to mess up.

According to the megasquirt's site there are 4 porsches this has been installed in, no 944s, though. Wonder if any of them are on rennlist? This would be a really cool project!

If your using a Ford, or some other brand MAF, do you just have to hard wire into the DME? As the plugs will not work, correct??
Cause there are plenty of good used MAF sensors on ebay. Just have to get it to fit also.

Chips to get rid of the overboost control and the SMT6 (or something similar that can compensate for a MAF).
As for the temp sensor, you could pull the one out of the stock AFM and use that.

WOW, I did a searh on the C& L stuff and found a dealer and tuning shop right here in Oralndo. I might stop by with my car and talk to them and see what info I can get and pass on. Thier prices are also lower than from C&L direct.

Pauerman: Did you get your equipment yet from split second??
Do you need the psc1-4 AND the ARC2 or is it one or the other???
And does the SMT need to be used with those also?? The SMT is a piggyback unit correct??

TODDK911,
That one is a little big, because it is aftermarket, but it would work.
You would also need; chips, ARC2(or equivalent), a harness, the necessary plumbing and an A/F meter of some sort for tuning.
oh yeah, and an air filter...unless you wanted to plumb it into the stock intake system. I have done that before too, not a whole lot of difference on a stock car(except for the cool sounds).

You need chips matched to the MAF, or just any chips that take out the boost cut off, as I have GURU chips.
Also, is an AFPR needed??
