That is the most detailed restoration I have seen. You are doing a super job!

Before you drill a hole for the backup camera, try to find a license plate light that has an integrated camera. They’re all over eBay for BMW, Volvo etc. maybe you’ll find one for the 951. May take some customization but it’s better than drilling into your pristine shell.

Can anyone tell me where this part should go?
I think it has something to do with the dashboard and it looks like it has been wrapped around the body.

Yes.
It goes on the drivers side....will confirm when I get home. I just pulled that piece off a couple of weeks ago.
Part of it tucks under the door sill at the dash board height on the drivers side.
i can confirm with my pics at home on my camera and looking in the car. My interior is gutted except for the interior a/c and ducting and steering shaft.
That is the piece I believe. I have all those pieces in a rubbermaid container at the moment.

Funny. I cant see them now either???????????? Yet I could last night. Something wrong with the site. What's up Rennlist Tech. I took those pics they belong to me not some photo sharing web site. Maybe we got hacked by Apple because I told them they suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will re load them when I get home tonight. I will use a camera to take the pics and bypass my Apple sucks iphone.

Edit: And to add I have never had an issue with loading photos before....until posting that APPLE SUCKS LOL

Awesome thread last full restoration I saw on here the guy spent over 100k doing it. After all this hard work I would vote for the 2.85l Sid stroker motor. Nothing against an Ls motor but since its more of a restoration figure the porsche motor would be a nicer touch, but thats me Keep up the awesome work!

If you have an iPhone 7 and just did the latest update it accualy will destroy the hardware in your iPhone 7. My girlfriend has had nothing but problems as well with hers. My 7plus doesn't have the update nor will I install it. But that information just leaked out a couple days ago.

I'm using an iphone 4. It has not updated for years.

Ignore the black wire in the photos

also note that the bottom corner on mine is tucked behind the hood release button. It's actually stuck and I have not tried to remove the button yet.

Oh wow I have a media player in my 951 that uses an I4 and it has a back up camera on the license place frame. I can't use any other iPhone for it because the I4 is analog and all the others are digital audio signals.
