woooo! took me a couple of days to read this. man-o-man, 944-n/a's are sure getting popular.

Any CSQ - 944 spec is easy and affordable. The CA experience was great - all others to follow. U choose, but choose intelligently.

As i understand it local PCA regions will start honoring the 944-spec as a separate class during AX and TT events.

The big tracks are fun and u to can join the fun by participating. To beat Tim you may have to spend some money, but to have fun all you need is a 944 NA >88.

Hey guys! We just added our 7th chassis to the SoCal group! Can you say SNOWBALL! I'm so stoked that people see the potential in this like I do. We'll have between 10 and 20 cars in the SoCal group by the end of this year. Mark my words. There may be a NorCal group forming that will also use the 944-spec.com rules. We're MAKING it happen!

Hey guys, we're still working out the package deal with PARAGON PRODUCTS. Stand by on that. Also, there's an 88 924S with 120K miles for $2200.00 in the Bay Area. Anybody in Northern California want it for a spec racer? It's got the trick short 5th gear already.

Worked out a group purchase deal for roll cages through AUTOPOWER here in San Diego. Good for all 944-spec racers in SoCal. No shipping. You pick up. Email for details.

Had 4 944-spec cars entered in the autocross yesterday at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Great course, 1:30 average time for the class. There were another 4 or 5 944's hanging out with us, too! Dave Marguglio's chassis looks spectacular with great prep work and a full graphics package! I'll post pics asap.

Nice job Tim!
You are really bring things along over there.
Hopefully the info I gave Dave Friday helped him out at the Ax.

I Dave officially has the best looking car in 944-spec land. Really cool.

We had a 944-spec race again this Saturday at Arizona Motorsports Park. This time it was an informal gathering with Arizona Sports Racing Association. Good club that hornors the 944-spec as class in their race group. We had 6 cars out with 5 in the race group. Lots of fun again.
Paul Bloomberg had set the Track record at the NASA Event last weekend at a 1:56.8. This weekend I really had the car dialed in PERFECT.New time to beat at AMP in 944-spec is 1:54.5!

I am looking forward to the NASA event at Willow in the end of May.

Tim any advice on Hotels?

NASA 's regional Director says people are staying at the Park Plaza hotel. 661.256.3454. $60.00 per night single or double w/ continental breakfast. Share rooms? Could be some cheaper hotels in the area. Anderson Motorworks usually stays at the Desert Inn on Sierra Highway.

Brian Welsh, Don't be jealous! Be involved! Go to www.nasaproracing.com to find your nearest chapter. Then go to www.944-spec.com to see the build rules. The class is nation wide now so you can run in any chapter of NASA. Get your 944 friends together and go racing! If you need further info contact me at:

Tim,
Good Job! The numbers keep growing over here too. We had a couple of guys get there licenses at the past NASA race plus there are a couple of more in the works. That should make around 18-20 cars.

I am still going to try to make the WS race.
Technodyne is going to have my car done soon but I wanted to thank you and John for the offer of help.

M758.....what can I say...I went a little faster in practice but still not even close to a 54.$#!@
Tim will have to show us the way at WS...

Thanks, M758. I'm trying hard to make it grow quickly and our rules are what they like! You're welcome for our offer of help, Paul! See you guys at Willow! Brian, call me during the day if you need help going racing, but please remember, I'm at work.
Cheers!

There are now 4 944-spec racers registered for the May 24-25th Willow Springs race! A 5th is almost for sure. That's not counting the HPDE entries. Building this class on the West Coast has been really rewarding and fun. It'll only get better. Buy a 944 or 924S NOW and come do some affordable racing with us!
