You newbs need to understand that way back in 1998, when I first started sizing up the purchase of a 944S2 cab, Frederick's black "perfect in every way" cab was the standard for us to look up to on the Email lists.
Now that the paint job is well under way, I'm sure Frederick will soon be delighting us with updated photos of that legendary black 944 S2 cab!

LOL! now you've gone and put expectations a bit high haven't you.
well, i tell you that the game changed when YOU pulled that 951 cab!! many people here hadn't even seen one before you got it. thanks to you, i've decided to "euroize" my car (all but rewiring the tails, i kind of like the big red circles as brake lights). so, i think you got the lead on "perfect in every way" brother
and as a life long "modder", you've given me a new appreciation for stock, well kept cars with both your cabs. and i'm sure the S2 is still in great shape.

Power Steering pump holder/braket broke off - did the belts while i was in there and also checked the chain pad / replaced it. car has 111k on the clock and clutch, camshaft - chain was replaced at 86k - i also replaced ther rear screen with a clear one - old one was milky. - mhhhh otherwise nothing really - ohhhh while i was in there i noticed that the oil pickup in the sump had a crack - so i got that welded.
needs a bit tlc - but im fairly happy.

shouldnt need to
the windcreen "is" the anti-roll bar. It's specifcally designed for that
Thats why people are sadly mistaken when they think the can just chop down a coupe' and make it into a cab

Yes the wind screen does offer some roll over protection. The problem is that without anything in the rear you have the windscreen and the decklid...when your over 6' your going to loose your head. The roll bar behind the seat let's me pass a broom stick test and will save my mellon in a roll over. As a side note, the bar stiffend the chasis a tremendous amount. It is not required for autocross but is for any on track events.
