Default Radiator, overflow bottle help

Hi all. We are working on an 83 944 5 speed (no trans cooler here). We pulled the motor so the frame could be straightened and now we are putting the motor back in. I have a question that is stumping me right now.

The Radiator has a small (1/4" ish) nipple right at the top drivers side. I would guess that it gets routed to the overflow bottle, BUT I have no matching nipple on the overflow tank. Were does this nipple get connected? I did not take pics of this specific part on tear down, and the parts fiche also does not look like what I have.

The 13, 14, 15 assembly would be the likely candidate for this nipple, but my overflow bottle does not have this connection. Can anyone share some insight for me?

Thanks a bunch!

it's on the side of the tank below the radiator cap.

Sweet! Thanks for that. We found the hose that was obvious now that you pointed out the location of the nipple!

Things are rapidly falling into place. My next question is this: Is there a band that goes around the charcoal canister that anchors the bottom of the factory antenna? It kinda looks like the only option to me. The charcoal can has some protrusions that look like it was made for a rubber lined clamp maybe. Right now the bottom of my antenna has that bracket, but it's not obvoius where it goes. I do not have any more hardware for the charcoal can. Might have been lost in the crash. I have a parts car to look at, but it's at a storage facility 20 minutes away.

BTW, this is the 10k mile Copart 944. https://rennlist.com/forums/944-and-...d-project.html

We are trying to get it mostly together for Radwood this weekend! We should have it drivable, but the fender and hood are grey. The nose panel is still crunched and we're missing the DS headlight. still gathering parts for those things. It will be an "under construction" car.
