Not sure if you've headed out yet, or not, but you could use your AAA to tow it the first 200 miles back towards home to buy you some time and distance on that oil leak.

I got back to Seattle last night with no problems. Car drove great. I'll have the leak fixed and hopefully will have it on the highways and byways again soon.

Sorry to hear this Nate but glad you made it home safe. I live about 6 hrs from Pittsburgh and barely trusted my 79 to make the trip

what was the source of the oil leak ?

Fix it tonight and be on the road tomorrow morning. You can still make it to Pittsburgh by Sat. morning. See, it works out just fine.
