1984 ground spots that do not appear in many of the discussions here
Good morning - in an effort to try to get something back I wanted to post what I found this morning. I got my hands on the shop manual for a 1984 and it appears that there is a ground location that is not discussed very often if at all here. It is at the very front of the car, near the air conditioning fan, below what I think is the receiver. Pictures of it are below.
It is also worth noting that the shop manual does not make any reference to grounds on the shock towers or near the distributor.

Good morning Nate-hope you're having a good week. I did find the other one and clean it already but thanks for pointing it out., There's a difference between the early and late cars on the grounding points. To be more specific, there are grounding points referenced on the S4 diagram that are not used on earlier cars.

Try this rambling thread for some more detail.

If you are working with 84 USA, you must remove some emissions paraphernalia to get to the critical engine ground above the "O" on valve cover on passenger side.

Funny, I've got an 84 USA with no injector pulse also.
Started with first turn of key in March, sat on driveway running beautifully for 10 minutes.
Died and stayed dead since.
Been too busy to mess with it, but now must move and have so have no choice.
Maybe we can help each other.

Before doing anything else however, are you sure that you have fuel and spark? Have you checked your fuel pump relay?
