Did you buy any touch up paint? If so..what brand? I'm going to start on restoration of my new 928 soon.

Other than having to repair the Passenger side front fender I did not require any touch up paint. I do have a new strategy for hitting the panels based on my experience with the car.
  • Of course, wash the car or panel you want to work
  • I clay bar'd only the panels I was working on prior to paint correction vs doing the whole car at once. That is only because my daughter uses it as a daily driver. This step is important because the paint will have a lot of dirt and you don't want to swirl dirt when cutting as it only introduces more scratches.
  • I applied the meguire's 7 using the DA and a white or orange pad. Us the DA to work in the M7 and keep it very wet. Let sit for 12-24hrs and then hand wipe with fresh microfiber towel
  • 4 0/90 passes with DA (orange pad plastic bumpers / yellow pad body) with meguiars 105 and wipe clean. May need to use a spray bottle with 10% alchohol and water to clean off the compound.
  • Again applied the meguire's 7 using the DA and a white or orange pad. Us the DA to work in the M7 and keep it very wet. Let sit for 12-24hrs and then hand wipe with fresh microfiber towel
  • Another 4 0/90 passes with DA (orange pad plastic bumpers / yellow pad body) with meguiars 105. May need to use a spray bottle with 10% alchohol and water to clean off the compound.
  • 4 0/90 passes with DA (white pad) with meguiars 205 and wipe clean. (wipe with virgin microfiber towel)
  • I then applied Jet Seal from Chemical Guys. Wipe off after recommended interval...although I usually waited 12hrs
  • Wax with your favorite wax
If you work one section at a time, be sure to use painters tape to protect the sections you aren't working on so you don't pull in dirt from an unworked panel or mess up an already worked panel. Below is what I mean from when I paint corrected my GTR.
