Hey y'all! I'm in the middle of a head gasket change, and my heads have been eaten away by the PO's crappy choice in coolant. I need new heads because I don't think they can be machined down enough. The problem being is I can (without spending a small fortune) find ones that say they're for the right side. I've heard they are interchangeable... But how do I go about doing that? Thanks guys!

 

all 928 heads are the same left and right but do get the correct ones for your year 928. Plenty available for not that much money

Mark, That answered my question perfectly. I found a few, but they all don't seem to be in too great condition, and run close to $300. But V2! My heads look pretty darn close to that! And for $310 each that is well worth it to keep all the original parts on the car.

 

I have a set of rebuilt heads from an 88 for sale for $750. PM me if your interested.

 

Mine is a 1983, so I don't think they are compatible.

That's a much better price than I've been able to find anywhere for 2 of them. It's going to be 675 plus shipping to get mine redone.
