Ron you are incredible, I feel snowed under with one 928 which started out in a lot better condition than any of yours (I drove it home after I bought it and then drove it daily for a couple of months) and there you are with working on three of them at the same time!

Thank you all. My OCD (or is there an opposite to ocd?) never allows me to finish one thing, so bouncing between projects is quite normal for me!
i currently have the 82 up on the lift, planned in doing the rear end fluid, but it is cold here now, so that may be a spring time job. She is completely drivable and road worthy. The throttle cable started sticking on my way home from frenzy, so I have to address that...need to replace the antennae and redo the stereo, the pod needs to come out and lights and gauges repaired, dash and pod need recovering, and seats need recover/repaired....then she needs paint and bodywork done....but drivable!
#30 needs everything, but immediate need is fuel pumps, then the axle installed (still haven’t done that yet) ...
the 79 needs a lot done also, but is fully mobile. Needs seats....
I don’t even want to look at to-do lists....I just keep going little by little..::

Ron,
The best part is that even in winter months you can go outside and look at them and say to yourself, they are all mine. And have pride in knowing you are working on them and keeping them alive.

Hey Ron glad to see another one followed you home... Take your old fuel pumps put them in a big pot of water and boil them for about an hour.. They may still come back to life... Cheap easy fix if they do... Just a word of warning though it stinks like nasty old gas when you boil them... Make sure the wife isn't home when you do it lol

Thank you all.
thanks for the boiling tip. I bought those pumps in 2013 for about 40$ each. Already bought new ones, and have a new spare 044 on the shelf. Think I’m going to toss these in the hopper!

Ok, so been a while since I posted in this thread, although I keep doing tiny little repairs, I have been focusing more on the white 82, as I get her ready for SITM.
the euro is more in the way than anything else, constantly being moved from lift to ground to outside, to inside....I finally have had enough of trying to drive this car around the yard sitting on a block of wood...it really exasperates my herniated disc in my lower back.
Here is where the 1984 fire (parts) car comes in (thanks Harvey). After a year of trying at different intervals, I finally made a miniature Allen key out of what once was a full size allen key. This allowed me to get the drivers seat removed...only took 3 hours or so... but it’s out!
Seat has bolster damage, a cigarette burn, and a tear on the back of the headrest. I cleaned it (sorry, no dirty pics) rather hastily and took it to an upholstery shop. It looks wrinkly in the pics because I shampooed the dry-*** fabric, and it really seemed to enjoy it...tightened back up when it dried. Anyway, upholstery guy said the seat was actually in very good condition for its age and could fix it for about $170. A deal in my eyes. He will have to cut out the bad bolster, but said he would try to salvage as much of it as possible to save the script. I left it up to him, but he said he may clone the patch on the opposite bolster to keep the seat looking uniform. I can’t wait to get it back!

So the passenger seat was quite a bit easier. Since all the wiring was easily exposed, I rigged up a battery, and installed the new to me switch assembly, replacing the missing one (Thanks Brian), was able to move it forward and raise it, making very easy access to the rear bolts, then moved it backwards and removed the front bolts. A 30 min endeavor. Quite nasty condition on first view.

After a vacuum, shampoo, and vinyl treatment, this seat is about 90%.
found a small hole in the headrest vinyl, and a discolored spot on the right bolster. Will use a vinyl/heat patch kit for the hole and black vinyl conditioner for the rest. This seat will be near mint!

Trying to catch up on my updates...been extremely busy on this car....
Removed the rear center console from the parts car, as this one was shot. It’s in ok shape, but I got the time....also worked on #30s new console that I got from Pete (thanks Pete!)....
A little roached, but not bad
Surgery time
Splints in place
Operating table
#30s console getting some love as well
