Default 928 GT hard start problem

My 1991 GT is struggling to start... have to turn it over a few times, every time before it will fire up.
Recent work include new caps, rotors, HT leads, plugs, fuel return valve and the garage that serviced the car said they tested the fuel pressure (fine) o2, and temp 2 is fine as is the MAF and LH unit.

once going it does not miss a beat

any suggestions?

battery replaced last year but the car stood over the winter (battery does have a cut out switch fitted). that said, it own a the garage servicing the car as they had the diagnostic on over half an hour as they were looking for a fault on the RDK. I have driven the car for at least an hour after picking it up, so should be fully charged up? not sure about the connectors to the starter

Tested at the pins to the LH and EZK ECUs?

Hard cold-start is associated with (among other thins):
- the wrong temperature signal to the ECUs
- weak battery
- poor grounds (battery strap, engine strap, ECUs, etc)
- voltage drop from battery to ECUs due to oxidized connections

Does the starter turn fast? Or slow?

Pull the battery ground strap and take a look at the condiion of the braiding both ends just under the heat shrink.

Even if it looks ok replace it if it is the original item.
