Curious where one might connect a tow bar. Logical might be to brackets and a crossbar that would replace the front tie-down hook brackets. I'm not sure I'd put my trust in that to handle all the dynamics that towing present when flat towing.

A dolly rental is pretty reasonable for short-distance moving. Else a flatbed trailer.

Great link Speedtoys. Still nothing though?
I have a mate with a towbar shop, he also has an 89 S4 and I'm trying to get him interested in making some.
It seems many people want one but it just hasn't happened yet?
I'm definitely going do something while I have my project car completely stripped and can get to everything.

The thing is..the design is NOT that difficult, everything is IN that thread that you need to know to make one.

Yesm we knoiw it'll cost $500-600 for one...yes, we still want one.

A hundred years ago did Ed Ruiz not have a factory tow bar? Anyone remember that or am I hallucinating?
