Hi Guys
I am looking for a CD player.
Most important thing for me is the display and then the sound, any recommendations?
Thanks

Becker Monza, Mexico, CDR 210. Most important thing is to get one that has the positive display, instead of the negative so it doesn't wash out in the sun.
I used to like the Traffic Pro's, but they really wash out in the daylight---even the cool red one ends up looking pink

I just found out about a company called 'Continental' that makes very retro-looking radios with modern features. No affiliation, but these look very cool to me.

I've got that Continental Cd radio sitting in my garage, in a box, on a shelf. Got it for Christmas and my 928 is a hundred miles away in a garage, under a cover waiting for me to pick it up on a flatbed so I can put it back in MY garage. Its a 25 watt RMS powered and good looking unit with bluetooth, AM-FM and a front-mounted USB slot, as well as a rear auxilary input to which I will fit a "Commander" Sirius tuner into my ashtray. I intend to add another compact amp, probably a small Yamaha one that hooks up directly on the radio's power line; boosting the base a little without having to suck more power off new lines to the battery. Should have it installed in a month or so after I figure out what speakers I'll buy. The gentleman who sells them across the pond is very helpful and shipping was less than a week. You will want the 416ub model, NOT the 418ub (which is a European-spec model).

I found these in the 986 forum. Someone there might have more info:

On the model 416 and 418 the DAB and RDS is only compatible with the European radio standards. It does not apply to North American radio digital radio so going to the 418 is a greater waste. That why I stated to go to the 416. The 418 has no value in the United States and Canada.
