Default Car cover

Hello all,

The usual uneducated consumer question: I am looking for a car cover for the 928, which spends most of its down time in a carport (so, no direct rain but some water does get on it). Preferences: outdoor set-up, no Porsche logo (no need to advertise), price around $100. Any suggestions? Thank you, all

I have a "Coverking" which is good for weather. It is specifically for "Porsche 928 86-95 W/no logo". Works for me.

For around $100 you won't get a very durable cover. I suggest you look at Covercraft and the various fabrics options they offer.

I selected a Covercraft with "Noah" fabric. Purchased it from Vertex in Florida at a very reasonable price. Great fit too.

I bought my cover from 928 International and like it just fine.

I wouldn't leave it on in a dust storm but then again...who would!

Anyone know of a cover that will work with the roof antenna? Or should I just remove it if I want to cover the car?

Cool uh oh ... !

I guess I am too cheap or not informed sufficiently, because I paid around $50 for what seems like a reasonably good cover from Pep Boys. I don't notice any scratches yet. It does trap dust and deposit it on the windows which I must then wash before I use the car after it has been sitting for a few days. Duh ! Guess that's why you guys pay more for your covers. My cover is usually off if it rains because water can get on it and I won't let it stay on the car wet. And I keep it locked with a wire rope and gun locks at both sides.

I'm speaking from over 20 years of using car covers during the daytime while my car is parked at work in the parking lot. Course I never use it when the car is dirty, or if it looks like rain. But they do deterioriate with sun regardless of quality.

The roof antenna is a simple screw in mount, easily removed.

I went with the car bag which is made by cover king I believe. You lay it out on the floor drive onto it and zip it up. Keeps the rodents out. If you click on the Link in my sig "hibernating sharks" you'll see the one on the left is covered this way. The one on the right has a standard cover on it with a large tarp wrapped around it till I get a second car bag. Bout $300 each.
