Apparently you can't even go by the arrows, when they are there. Someone once posted two filters sitting next to each other, with arrows pointing in the opposite direction. Does it mean up? Direction of air flow? Nobody knows! Hump to the sky...exactly the opposite of the way mine was when I got it
