Engine Assembly, Are there any specific O-Rings where DC 111 should not be used?
Hello !
I am reading through several brilliant threads and posts as I plan my work for engine reassembly.
I keep seeing specific references to using Dow Corning 111 on various o-rings. I have a more general question:
Are there any specific o rings or rubber sealing parts ( found inside the factory spec Porsche 928 engine bay LOL !! ) where DC111 must be avoided?
Thank you.

Off the top of my head, it's fine and preferable to use on o rings. I would avoid using it on any fuel related o rings in the WUR or FD if applicable.
It should be avoided on coolant hoses as well as the stuff is so slick, the hoses can back themselves off under pressure. Ask me how I know!
