Default Starting Issues

Hi All
I have just installed the engine (after removing it 5 years ago !). I cannot get it to start. I do not have a spark so have started to trace out the electrical supply.
The fuel injection relay does not have 12v at the coil, but when I bridge out the fuel injection relay the fuel pump runs with ignition off.
I cannot get a supply at the ecu as Fuel Injection Relay should power up with ignition.
Thanks
Glen

Good question Fred.

928 use different Injection and Ignition ECUs depending on their year and model so we'll need to know what we are going to troubleshoot.

When you are cranking it, make sure you are getting 12v at the black/yellow trace wire on the starter.

At the starter there is only the supply from battery and trigger which comes from starter relay I cannot see any other connection other than those on the starter

Finally getting a spark, I had put the earth on the fuel rail as apposed to the cam cover.
Thanks for all of the help.
She's trying to start, got spark, and fuel I believe.
Will check timing again and made pull the injectors to test.
