I have suntek carbon on my 81. It works very well at protecting the interior.

I just need to get the windshield tinted again after I had it replaced for cracking.

I had 3m Crystalaline 70% all around my XKR for years, really helps here in Miami's heat. I will be doing on my next 928 project for sure. The 928 is one of those cars that especially looks good without tints. But there is sooo much glass, it needs some kind of protection for sure

I've been running the ceramic line from Huper optic on all the windows of the car including front for some time now around 4 years and have been very impressed with the tint.

Looks good - better than using just clear.

I had 3M Crystalline 90% installed in the windshield of my DD a few years ago and there are lots of distortions. From what I understand it is made from 200 layers and that's just the way it is and is more noticeable due to the light tint. I would never consider doing it again, wasn't cheap either. Did I get a bad batch or install? It is annoying enough that I purposely don't clean the windshield very often so that it blends in with water spots.

Actually, a couple of installers reported problems with 3M Crystalline and I have read similar complaints on line.

One of the reasons I went with Llumar product.

Distortion has more to do with the installer than the actual tint. If there's distortion, I'd go back and get it redone asap
