Default what is this cable in front of the radiator

was just opening my hood to check oil this morning and various bits and noticed this cable was unplugged.

the cable extends into a bundle toward the passenger side, and disappears into the bumper toward the driver's side.

car seemed to be operating fine all day yesterday.

Owners are known to unplug the connection while the Cooling Flaps are in the open condition, to prevent overheating if they get stuck closed.

Watch your engine temps for awhile. May need to unplug it again if they start getting higher than normal.

the usual fix is to open the flaps,
then pull the fuse for the flaps .

Leave the connector attached this prevents corrosion to the harness/ connector
