I did it 3 years ago prior to the new engine. No issues removing the screws but I do recommend using a quality snap on or similar screw driver. They are fairly soft.

Thanks, I saw they were peened on the back and was worried that would not deform easily when unscrewing.

kiwiokie, I recently rebuilt the throttle body in my S3.

The screws were peened on the backside. They came out no problem with slow, steady pressure unscrewing, and keeping the tip of the screw driver pressed firmly into the screw head.

As I could not find suitable replacements, I chased the screws with a die, 3mm I think. When I reistalled the screws, I used green Loctite 290 on the threads.
