Wheeler dealers is a great show...

The math though never worked. I love when they renovate an entire car and show that it took 28 man hours... Including full paint, brakes, suspension rebuild, interior change out, etc...

Being a fool that works on his own cars, I am shocked how many hours everything takes... I can devote an entire weekend to working on the car and seemingly get little done. Most things seem to take months...

Compare to the other show where the fix cars in Detroit (forgetting the name right now)... similar work is billed out as 150 hours at $60 an hour...

That's seems WAY more realistic...

You are exactly correct. One of the jobs done on the 928 on the WD show, they said was a couple hours. However, when I did the similar job, with similar tools, and similar talent, it took me a full weekend. Sure, I could have saved a bit of time, but the reality is very far from the show labor(or labour) times.

Sharing the same sentiment as everyone else. WD was the best car restoration show without the typical US drama and Edd is what made the show. I'm glad there are many years worth of reruns to enjoy again. Hopefully he does come up with a new show / format that really highlights his talents. He has a huge fan base.

Bummer Ill miss the Eds content, and Especially his Hilarious T-Shirts...His Patience is unparalleled, Never Gets excited and just "Cracks on" or has Tea when hes waiting for paint to dry. I think of his patience often when Im working on my own cars.. take minute... and things fall into place.. Thanks ED!
Im cutting my cable off now..

Bummed to hear that Ed is leaving. Now it will just be "another" car show.

I was kind of wondering why the other guy was starting to do some actual work on cars in the last several episodes... He was pulling interiors, and other non-skilled work...

My guess, Ed threw a hissy fit and complained he did all the work...

“The TV business is uglier than most things. It is normally perceived as some kind of cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs, for no good reason.”

The new shows sucked. I bought a Firestick and just watch the older seasons at night. Good 'ole days I guess... Just like TOP GEAR.

Ed needs to come up with his version of Grand Tour (like the Top Gear guys did) and destroy the old show with it!

How about recruit Ed into Grand Tour? Best of both worlds, and he can fix anything that Hammond breaks lol

They've worked together before. Edd put an ejector seat a la James Bond style in a car for them years ago.

It was pretty funny to watch.

Early-mid series shows it appeared Ed genuinely liked Mike. As time went on it appeared Ed grew short tempered with Mike and often threw digs at him. T
