Default Garage928.....two thumbs up...

I flew to Atlanta at the weekend to pick up my 85 Euro that has been at Garage928 since my mishap (leaking water pump) on the post purchase trip home from Pontiac MI to Florida. Thanks to the resources on this board my unfortunate breakdown with my new purchase has turned out with a silver lining. Members here put me in touch with Richard at Garage928 and I had the car dropped off for repairs. Finally after a new water pump, timing belt with porken tensioner and a few mission creep items (pan gasket, steering rack bushings, power steering line leak, bad torque tube bearings and a full AC system refresh she was ready for the 750 mile trip home. I gotta say I'm glad my car ended up at Richards shop, he and his mechanic Bill REALLY know these cars and have a passion for them that a "regular" repair shop would not. He even took care of multiple little interior and broken/missing items at no charge with pieces from his vast parts car collection.....truly above and beyond.
Anyways the car got back safely and is running like a top......750 miles at an average 85-90 with AC on and she still returned about 22 mpg.
Thanks again to Richard and Bill and the members on Rennlist for turning around an unexpected emergency into a positive experience. This truly is what the cars and this forum is all about.
To anybody that needs ANY type of work done Richard is an A+ guy to deal with.....

It was really nice meeting you this past weekend at the Atlanta gathering.

And I'm glad to hear you were finally able to complete the second half of your trip home from Michigan.

It must feel so good to finally have that car home now.

I plan to look you up the next time I'm in North Miami.

Enjoy that beautiful Euro!
